Airil Rizman claimed a career breakthrough victory at the Pakistan Open in 2007, holding off Scott Hend and Simon Hurd in the final round at Karachi Golf Club. His win in Pakistan made him only the second Malaysian after Danny Chia to win on the Asian Tour.
Airil credited a new practice regime based from a programme used in the Australian Institute of Sports for helping him to victory. He boasts an impressive record on home soil having claimed seven wins on the Malaysian PGA Tour plus 16 amateur titles - including three national championships in 1998, 1999 and 2001.
